Weekly Classes and Weekend Workshops: Cancellation & Refund Polices
We understand entirely that life brings many surprises to us all, and sometimes people must cancel their class reservation. We sincerely do our level best to accommodate each individual’s request when emergencies arise.
However, if cancellations occur within a week of the class start date, granting a refund frequently means we operate at a loss. Materials have already been purchased, and instructors have agreed to a set minimum compensation.
Please help us continue to offer these wonderful classes, at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation and refund policy:
Classes and workshops are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment in full is required to register for classes and workshops payable through PayPal button on each workshop page. Material fees (when applicable) are due the first day of class. OStudioworks accepts Visa, MasterCard, personal checks and money orders (Please get in contact if you’d like to pay separately from PayPal checkout on workshop pages). A $35 service fee is charged for all returned checks.
After your registration is received, a confirmation letter is sent to you by email or mail, with workshop information and directions to our studio. (Please reply to this email when so I know you received it)
You can register online at any time or contact the studio via email for any questions. NOTE: This is a kitty friendly environment and working metalsmithing studio. (Please take your own precaution if you have allergies)
Cancellation:
If you cancel your class 7 days prior to start date you may receive a full refund minus $25 fee for administrative work that goes into changing class, reconfirming and attempting to fill your space or you may receive full credit towards same class and must be taken within a month from the original class date.
If you cancel your class 3-6 days prior to start date the entire class fee is non-refundable – class credit will be given towards same class and must be taken within 1 month from the original class date.
If you cancel less than 3 days prior to start date or no show for a class for any reason – the entire class fee is non-refundable and no class credit will be given.
Please email to let us know of your class change as soon as possible.
If we cancel the class:
OStudioworks reserves the right to make changes in classes, workshops, schedules, instructors, and cancel a class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment students will be notified with at least 48 hours notice using the phone number and/or e-mail that you gave when signing up, and will receive a full refund or same class credit towards any future class.
Transfer Policy:
Classes and Workshop fees are non-transferable once started. If you wish to move to another class, you must register and pay for the new class/workshop separately.
SAFETY:
If you’d like to protect your ears, I recommend earplugs for hammer time… Please wear closed toed shoes (no slipper type shoe), no flowing type clothes or hanging jewelry that can get caught on rotary tools and no strong perfumes/colognes.
REQUIRED LIABILITY RELEASE
ALL participants and observers in the workshop must sign a Liability release. Liability Release: As part of the consideration, in addition to the registration fee, paid to Nicole Ohayon/OStudioworks for giving the class/workshop for which I have registered, I hereby release Nicole Ohayon, OStudioworks, Carlson Industries, The Brewery Artist Colony, the workshop teacher as well as any person or entity, on whose property this course may be given from any and all liability for personal injury or property damage that I may suffer or sustain due to negligence, or otherwise, in connection with any such course, whether by ingress or egress, attendance, or otherwise.
Publicity Policy
OStudioworks reserves the right to use photos taken during workshops and other programs. Registration in a workshop gives OStudioworks permission to use that image without limitation, obligation, or further consent.
Right of Refusal
OStudioworks reserves the unconditional right to refuse sales, service, registration and / or participation to any person or group for any non-discriminatory reason. At the discretion of the instructor, any student disrupting the workshop and/or exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be asked by the instructor to leave the workshop and will not be entitled to receive any refund.
Non-Discrimination Policy
OStudioworks does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status.
Said student certifies that he/she is physically able to participate in all the activities for which he/she is registering and subsequently enrolled.
Participation in our registration process implies that you have read and agree to these policies.
