This fun bezel setting cabochon ring workshop will be jam packed with silversmithing tips and as with all the workshops we will focus on techniques for How we do it and Why are we doing it that way. Perfect for a beginner or intermediate silversmith looking to refine or refresh their skills with soldering, sawing and fabrication. 

You will construct your ring from start to finish using tools provided and given guidance with every step. You will learn to fabricate your silver bezel for the perfect fit for your cabochon stone, use the jewelers saw to saw out your sterling silver sheet for a design, build your ring shank, prepare proper solder joints and learn multiple soldering techniques, texturing, filing, forming, torch control, patina, polish and set your stone. Then take home your shiny new sterling silver ring!

No experience necessary however to receive the full benefits of this workshop it’s recommended to take the Beginning Metalsmithing Intensive workshop first.

This workshop has a maximum of 4 students for more personalized attention and will include all materials/consumables and use of all tools/equipment. Participants must be at least 18 yrs old. Workshop sign-ups are per person. Please sign up at least 48hours in advance or email to see if theres availability. If you are signing up with friend(s) it’s recommended to purchase together to confirm availability of spots open. Once sign up is received you will be sent additional workshop info to the email you signed up with on PayPal, (please make sure your info is up to date), please reply to that email. (you do not have to have a Paypal account to sign up, multiple payment options are available) Contact the studio if you don’t see a date that accommodates your schedule or for any other questions.
